Deidre Dowling
Education and Consulting Services Coordinator
Deidre works to bring the latest in technology, librarianship and other areas of interests to Nylink members and affiliates through a variety of classes, conferences and distance education opportunities. Deidre is also the one to contact when your library or cultural heritage organization have an interest in help on a project or other consulting possibility.
Prior to Nylink, Deidre worked as the Public Programs Coordinator at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. While at the Racing Museum, Deidre coordinated the Education Department, developed, facilitated and evaluated educational programming for a variety of audiences, from pre-K through adults, and managed the Racing Museum’s volunteer program. She was also involved with other aspects of the museum’s work including marketing, community outreach, strategic and long range planning, disaster planning and digitization. Deidre worked closely with the curatorial department in developing and coordinating collection based educational programs.
Deidre is currently pursuing her MSIS, with a concentration in archives, at the University at Albany. She has a MA in Education from the University at Albany and a BA History from LeMoyne College.
